Continuing to accept your unwanted clean and wearable clothing

Staff at webuyanyclothes are continuing to accept your unwanted clean and wearable clothing, paired footwear, handbags, belts, accessories, matching bed sets, paired curtains, soft toys, kitchen and bathroom linen.

The items are sent to central and eastern European countries where it will go into second-hand shops and ultimately get reworn.

Once your clothes have been checked, they are put into clear sealed bags to be weighed for payment. These bags are baled and sent to Cannock HQ where they are sent on to one of the regular destinations, whether it be Czech Republic, Ukraine, Jordan or Romania.

A spokesman said: “There is £30 billion worth of unused clothing sitting in wardrobes across the UK. And a staggering £140 million worth goes into landfill each year.

“No matter the condition of the clothing, there is always a use for it. And it should absolutely not be thrown in the bin.”

Even poor quality or damaged clothing has its uses. It can be used for rag wipes, stuffing for cushions, pillows, mattresses or insulation. And although the firm cannot pay you for the poor quality or damaged clothing, they can still take it and will ensure it gets recycled.

Since 2009, webuyanyclothes has purchased almost 14 MILLION KILOs from the general public paying out almost £6.5 MILLION for their unwanted clothing!!!

The spokesman added: “So whether you want to give your clothes to your chosen charity, put it in a textile bank for convenience or you want to get some cash back for it by bringing it to one of our ‘webuyanyclothes’ drop off centres – then that’s great.

“But whatever you do – do not throw it in the bin.

If you do it will end up rotting in a landfill and adding to an already exacerbated environmental issue.

“And ultimately it will need to be incinerated, which then releases chemicals and plastics into the air.

By using one of the options above and not putting your textiles in the bin, you are ensuring that one way or another your clothing will get into the textile recycling chain and will either get re-worn or recycled to make something new.

“You cannot put textiles in your ‘recycling’ wheelie bin at home, your council will not take them and it will not end up in the textile recycling chain.

“So do the right thing, and help the environment, help the economy and help your pocket and take your unwanted and wearable clothing to ‘webuyanyclothes.org’”
